Channel islands

Jersey and Guernsey with Jamie

It was an amazing weekend - so beautiful! Lovely beaches and bays and full of history. German occupation museums and towers, Napoleonic towers, 17th castles and pilgrimages to hermitages!

The inspiration for the trip was the book 'The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society', which is one of my favourite books.  It was so cool to be able to see places mentioned in the book and to learn more about the history of the islands and the German occupation during the war.

  1. Love the pics Kimmy dear! Look like you had a wonderful time and had good weather. The parade looks like fun and the little mosaic church his gorgeous. I'll have to read the book again and look at your photos for reference! Wish I had been there. Love you. xoxoxox
