Fun weekends in February

I've had two fantastic weekends - the first down in Hampshire staying with the Scards again and the second when Doug visited and came to stay!

In Hampshire, we visited George White's house 'The Wakes' with the Captain Oates collection and also  Jane Austen's house in Chawton, which was lovely. We also enjoyed having a log fire and playing games of 'opposite' Whist (misere?), which I finally began to understand after a while of playing!

When Doug arrived the next weekend, I showed him around the area and we also had fun visiting two National Trust places in East Sussex; Bateman's (Rudyard Kipling's house) and Scotney Castle. We also had a great day in London visiting the Imperial War Museum and then seeing the show - 'The Play That Goes Wrong' which was very funny. Quite slapstick and reminiscent of 'Fawlty Towers'!
