March events

I've tried to do as many things as I can over the last few weeks as I am very aware of my limited time left in England. I went bouldering and had high tea with Jo, Liz and Sarah from work which was fun. I also had dinner with my cousin Ben and Norma and the boys in their new house which was great.

I visited lots of lovely and interesting houses; Standen House - a beautiful Arts and Crafts family home in West Sussex, Quebec House - General Wolfe's house in Westerham Kent and the Wallace Collection and house - a fabulous 18th century house and collection of beautiful and rich paintings, furnishings and objects in London.

I also went to Jo's 40th birthday barn dance, which was held in a small village church hall. Lots of fun dancing with Liz, Jo and Sue and their kids! Lively music and old English tunes.

Daffodils have been popping up everywhere, previously hidden and joyously heralding the start of spring! As the month has progressed, my time at work has gone by quickly. I had my last team meeting at work and they gave me a lovely bouquet of tulips as a leaving present. I have only one week to go of work!

A tiny lane I made the mistake of driving up! Scary driving around the corner in case another car came.

Last team meeting - minus a few people!

  1. I love that circle window in the cute old house. What a beautiful spot to sit and read in one of those amazing old chairs.
